The BeaverPad® and its operating system, BeaverOS®, are designed as independent, offline tools for learning, reference, and personal productivity. By using this device and its included or downloadable modules (content, apps, or tools), you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions of use.
1. General Use and Purpose
The BeaverPad® is provided as a self-contained digital reference and utility device intended for personal, educational, and informational purposes. It is not a certified professional instrument for medical, survival, navigation, engineering, or legal applications. The BeaverPad® should be used as a guide or assistant, not as a substitute for qualified expertise, critical thinking, or direct professional consultation.
2. User Responsibility
All actions, decisions, or outcomes resulting from the use of the BeaverPad®, BeaverOS®, or any included module are solely the responsibility of the user.
While we strive to ensure accuracy, reliability, and usefulness, the information and recommendations provided by modules are based on general knowledge, typical use cases, and publicly available data. Local conditions, environmental variations, and individual circumstances may affect results or safety. Always verify critical information from multiple sources before acting.
3. Module Information and Content
Modules such as Natural Remedies, Seed Encyclopedia, Wild Foraging and Identification, Solar Power Setup Assistant, Weather Station, and others are informational tools only.

Use of any data, techniques, or suggestions contained within these modules, including foraging, electrical setup, first aid, or construction, must be done with caution and personal judgment. The creators and distributors of BeaverPad® accept no liability for any damage, loss, injury, or consequence arising from the direct or indirect use of module information.
4. Hardware and Modifications
The BeaverPad® hardware is designed for durable, off-grid operation. Unauthorized modification, repair, or integration with third-party systems may result in malfunction or safety risks.
We assume no responsibility for any hardware damage, data loss, or personal injury resulting from improper handling, custom firmware, or connected accessories not officially approved or tested for the device.
5. Data and Privacy
BeaverOS® operates in a completely isolated environment. The device has no capability to connect to the internet, Bluetooth, cloud services, or any external server. All forms of wireless and network communication are permanently disabled by design.
Because the BeaverPad® never communicates externally, no user data is transmitted, shared, tracked, or stored beyond what is necessary for its basic operation. Modules only retain temporary last-state memory to improve user continuity within each session.
The only active user data stored on the device resides within the Notes module. All other modules operate without user-identifiable data. This design ensures that the BeaverPad® remains a fully private, self-contained knowledge and tool platform.
6. Environmental and Survival Use
Modules and tools intended for off-grid, field, or survival use are designed to assist decision-making, not to replace sound judgment, training, or real-world experience.
Users are responsible for their own safety, preparation, and verification of any survival or environmental practices suggested by BeaverOS®.
7. Warranty and Limitations
Except where otherwise required by law, the BeaverPad® is provided as is, without any express or implied warranties, including but not limited to accuracy, completeness, or suitability for any specific purpose.
The OffGrid Beaver project and its contributors shall not be held liable for any incidental, indirect, or consequential damages arising from use, misuse, or inability to use the device or its software.
8. Continuous Development
BeaverOS® modules and functions continue to expand through optional physical USB drives containing new modules or feature upgrades. No digital downloads or online updates are available.
Users may enhance their BeaverPad® with officially released module packs or system upgrades distributed exclusively through authorized physical USB drives. This ensures all additions remain fully offline and consistent with the BeaverPad® security and privacy model.
